Welcome to Pho Ru
Pho Ru is a Southeast Asian street food restaurant in Sacramento. In Vietnamese, the word “Ru” means cradle or lullaby. We hope your dining experience with us will bring a comfort of home.
Inspired by dishes that Chef Patrick Nguyen grew up eating at home, at family celebrations & 20 years living in Southeast Asia, you can expect to find more than just the standards like pho & pork chops rice plate. Pho Ru will shine the spotlight on some lesser known delicious regional dishes, along with new & original dishes using the Southeast Asian palette of flavors.

“This place is a hidden gem. It looks small from the outside but it’s a decent sized restaurant. It has a nice ambience to it. This review is based purely on the pho. I ordered “P1- Special Pho Combo with Rare Steak, Brisket, Tendon and Tripe” and it was delicious! Best pho I’ve ever had. I didn’t have to add anything to the broth. The Vietnamese coffee was equally good.
